Cleaning and Restoring Strataglass

Can your product restore Strataglass that has become cloudy and is over four years old?

It all depends on what caused the clouding. Generally speaking, if Clear View can’t restore the damages Strataglass, then nothing else can. It’s definitely worth a try as Strataglass can be very expensive to replace.

Last year Gary Dixon had a leak in the steering pump on his tower and it leaked down onto his Strataglass window. He tried 3 or 4 other boat window cleaners and nothing would touch it. He was sure that his window was ruined and would have to be replaced. As a last resort he tried the Clear View and to his amazement and delight was able to restore the damaged window. He then proceeded to do all the windows and brought them all up like new.

We are constantly being told that Clear View has restored damaged clear plastics when all hope was lost that we hate to tell people to just give up and replace the windows. It’s worth a try as a last resort. If it works it can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars. If it doesn’t, you can use it to protect your new windows when you replace them. Regular use of Clear View to protect your windows will extend the life by 2 to 4 times.

Be careful about what you use to clean and protect your see through plastics. Household cleaners with ammonia or furniture or car polish can destroy them in as little as a few months. You should only clean the windows with clear water or a recommended cleaner. Even boat soap or mild dish detergent can ruin them. The same holds true for polishes or protectants. UV protection is key to the longevity of these plastics. Only use products recommended for see through plastic.
