Can Algex be used on stainless steel trim tabs without corroding the metal?

Yes. Brush or pressure wash anything that will come off easily. Spray Algex onto the tabs and wait for about 20 to 30 minutes. Give it a scrub and rinse clean.

If you have barnacles, you may have to do some scraping with a block of wood and re-apply the Algex to remove the barnacle rings. Algex will help to brighten the metal. If there are any remaining stains, dullness or discoloration, use Boat Scrub to get them out and get a higher shine. To reduce future attachment of marine growth protect your tabs with VS721 Bottom Coat.
