Difference between Inflatable Boat Cleaner and Speed Clean

  Skipper

Scott asked:

What is the difference between the inflatable boat cleaner and speed clean? Do i really need both?

Answer:

For your convenience, I’ve highlighted the hyperlinks. Click on the hyperlink to get more information about the selected product.

Inflatable Boat Cleaner is a spray on cleaner, while Speed Clean is a cleaner / restorer. If all you need to do is clean your inflatable, you can use Inflatable Boat Cleaner. If you are restoring a neglected inflatable, you are trying to remove scuffs, oxidation, stains or tough dirt and grime, you need Speed Clean. If your boat is brand new, you need Speed Clean to strip away the lubricates used in manufacture prior to applying Poly Guard.

If you are restoring or doing some heavy duty cleaning, it’s always a good idea to clean it first with Inflatable Boat Cleaner, before using the Speed Clean as that will remove the surface pollutants and prevent them from being rubbed into the surface. This will save you time as well as excessive use of Speed Clean and in the end save you money, plus you will get better results.

It’s important to get your tube pristine before applying Poly Guard as anything left on the surface will be sealed in. Remember that Poly Guard is long lasting, up to 3 months, and it doesn’t wash off with water so what you start off with is what you will wind up with. You can never get your boat too clean.

Thanks for your question.
