How to re-apply Sure Step in the 2nd year

Yes, Sure Step can be applied over existing Sure Step, but it’s important that the decks are clean. I suggest that you wash the decks with Boat Clean Plus first. It’s a very effective cleaner and degreaser and it’s free rinsing so it will strip any pollutants away and will not leave any soap scum which may impede the ability of the new Sure Step to bond properly to the deck.

Every 2 to 3 years it’s a good idea to strip the deck with Boat Clean Plus and Boat Scrub, the way you did it originally. In this way the Sure Step will not build up and you will always have a great looking deck and get maximum performance from the product.
