How to remove stains from aluminum docks

I have a solid aluminum faced dock that was left submerged in a Nebraska lake for 30 days. After pressure washing off the algae, sand and grime a stain remains in the pores of the aluminum surface. I am inquiring if you have a product that can permeate the pores and eliminate the stain?

You may have two issues. There could still be staining from remaining algae or other marine growth in the pores (striations) of the aluminum and the aluminum could have surface staining from tannins and other contaminates in the water. I suggest that first you use Algex to clean the aluminum and remove any marine growth that may cause staining, followed byAlumabrite CBX to brighten the aluminum.

If this is an ongoing problem, protect the aluminum with Alumetron. It will fill in the pores and stop the staining. It has a life expectancy of up to 10 years. If you’re having problems with attachment of marine growth you can apply VS721, either over the Alumetron below the water level or directly to the aluminum.
