No. Rotary and orbital buffers and grinders will cut away the surface metal and change the appearance to chrome. Chrome finished aluminum takes 10 times more labor to achieve. Linear buffers move back and forth, parallel to the grain of the aluminum so there is much less cutting of the surface metal and the original silver mill finish is maintained.
